Removable Media Audit
Removable Media Manager can not only block access to removable media storage devices but unlike other solutions on the market can grant managed access. Once access has been granted users have the ability to create defined file types onto approved media. Removable Media Audit provides the ability for the system administrator to audit all creation, deletion and renaming of files on removable media. Removable Media Audit can be configured to audit the time, user and process name which performed the file operation. To keep network traffic to a minimum and to ensure that only defined events are audited there is both client and server side filtering.
Encryption Policy Manager
The Encryption Policy Manager (EPM) can be used to transparently encrypt all removable storage devices to ensure complete confidentiality of all information stored on these devices. By enabling EPM, users can be enforced to only have access to encrypted removable storage devices. Access to encrypted media can be restricted on a user or group basis. For example, users of the sales department may have access to any devices shared between their department but will have no access to any devices used by the accounts department and vice versa. Access to all devices can also be revoked on the fly by the system administrator.
If off-line access is required a password can be supplied by the user enabling access to the encrypted device when away from the organisations network. To access an encrypted storage device the remote workstation will need to be running either the EPM client software or alternatively can be accessed using the EPM Reader. The EPM Reader enables secure access to encrypted data on third party systems without the need to install any software.
Adding users to groups
Reflex Disknet Pro Enterprise Server automatically integrates with MS Windows NT Server and Windows 2000/2003 Server user domain groups and Novell Netware eDirectory groups. The group node allows the importing and creation of new user groups.
Synchronising Reflex Disknet Pro Enterprise Server Groups with NT/2000/2003/Novell NDS domain groups
Reflex Disknet Pro Enterprise groups can be automatically synchronised with the NT/Novell Domain group. New users added to the NT/Novell Domain will be synchronized into the Reflex Disknet Pro database, and users who are removed from the NT Domain will be removed from the Reflex Disknet Pro database.
Dynamic Client Configuration
The 'Computers' node details the currently installed Reflex Disknet Pro Client machines. By clicking on 'Computers' you will see a list of Reflex Disknet Pro protected workstations. This component provides the ability to disable Reflex Disknet Pro Client components across a network and enforce global dynamic configuration changes.
Alerts
Reflex Disknet Pro Enterprise Server includes the ability to generate audit based e-mail alerts. The audit log provides a flexible method of auditing client events but it is often desirable to highlight certain events as more serious. The alerts node allows the administrator to flag certain events as very serious and generate an immediate e-mail alert to defined e-mail addresses.
Logs
Reflex Disknet Pro includes centralised audit alerts. The logs section can accessed by selecting the 'logs' node from the Reflex Disknet Pro Administration console. Each log entry is assigned a unique ID number. The type of alert and its severity is symbolised by the colour of the icon. Detailed information on an on a log can be viewed by double clicking on the event.
