Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit v8.03/4 for Windows NT
If Reflex Sherlock is selected as the 2nd scanner within CHECKNT, then from within the Dr Solomon's 'Exclusions' tab the following must be added to the directory where Windows NT is installed: (D:\)temp\dnunzip\temp. This is the directory that Reflex Sherlock unzips zip files to from a floppy disk to scan for viruses within CHECKNT then deletes them after scanning.
WARNING! Floppy disks with password protected zip files will not generate any errors. The disk will be authorised without checking inside these files. We would recommend running Reflex Sherlock alongside this scanner to prevent any viruses potentially getting through (although Reflex Sherlock will not scan inside these files, it will generate an error, and hence the disk will not be authorised).
Please see Appendix A for a brief explanation of this:
Infected Trojan's in a zip file will report the following error; 'The File C:\DnetNT\Report.Log does not contain recognised information'.
Disknet Changes: Added an exclusion to the file "FINDV32.EXE", using the '#' command to allow the hard disk to be fully scanned without PSG alerts. Which should be already in your Reflex Disknet Expresset.ini file |
