Delegates to the recent Reflex security seminar held at The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre in Edinburgh were treated to an impressive overview and demonstration by Tony Pepper of the newly released Reflex Disknet Pro desktop security suite.

This all new version of Reflex's flagship product now caters for the authorisation of any removable media type including floppy disks, USB memory sticks, USB pen drives, digital cameras, Zip drives etc. Access rights to various media or ports are controlled on a user bases allowing network users to take advantage of roaming profiles.

Security policies can be created and applied to groups of users from the central administration console. Full auditing and e-mail alerts can be set-up to inform of attempted security breaches.

Presentations were also given on Reflex Data Vault and Reflex MailSafe whilst a representative from Software Box Ltd. gave account of there ability to assist with orders for CAPS approved products. During lunch delegates were given the opportunity to learn something of the tradition of whisky making in Scotland and to taste some selected malt whiskies.
