Reflex announce a FREE REFLEX MAILSAFE GOVERNMENT TRIAL in conjunction with The Software Box Ltd
The need for secure CAPS approved e-mail has never been so evident. Increasingly we see the use of e-mail across open networks within government. To meet this demand Reflex Magnetics have been for the past three years developing a secure e-mail suite for MS Outlook & Exchange.
Reflex MailSafe has been part of the recently concluded and highly successful E-Envoy/CESG sponsored PKI Interoperability trials. It gained top marks in both year one and year two of these trials and has been put forward for CAPS approval by Reflex Magnetics Ltd the authors of the product. It has a further advantage in that it meets the required specification stipulated by CESG in that it is S/MIME V3.0 and X.509 compliant.
For any software security product to become successful it is essential that it not only meets the required assurance level with regard to design and implementation of the crypto functionality but also that it meets the demands and requirements of it's users with regard to usability. In an effort to satisfy the latter CESG have agreed to allow wide scale trials of this product within MoD/Government to allow the important customer feedback to be obtained and incorporated alongside the CAPS Approval process. The only caveat being that it should not be used to communicate any protectively marked or operationally sensitive information across open networks prior to approval. The obvious advantage of this is that it should be possible to arrive at a position where the final product that gets approved is also acceptable to the user community.
Reflex have teamed up with Software Box to set-up and administer a free of charge trial of this software with all interested parties. To take part in the trial you will need to be a user of MS Outlook or MS Exchange and foresee a requirement either now or in the future for the ability to send either digitally signed e-mail or digitally signed and encrypted e-mail.
