Weve had a number of customers report to us that occasionally their validated disks are becoming unvalidated.
We have investigated this problem and found the likely cause of this.
Whenever a floppy disk is written to, Windows updates the floppy disk. As a result, Disknet must follow this by updating the signature on the disk. If the disk is taken out before the floppy disk light has gone off, the Disknet signature may not yet have been reapplied to the disk, hence the disk will have become unvalidated. |
If you wait until the light on the floppy disk has gone off (which will also prevent possible corruption of the disk) this problem should not occur. |
