problem

Reflex DataVault (HMG): Unable to create files on the root directory

After installing Reflex DataVault HMG on a Windows XP laptop when logged on as a user it is not possible to create or copy files.
symptoms

Users are unable to create files on the root of the DataVault HMG encrypted drive.

cause

By default MS Windows XP applies security on the root of any hard drive and prevents the creation and copying of new files.

solution

All data must be saved in folders within the DataVault HMG drive.
